What is addition of fractions?

you have to add numerator but not add denominator.

For eg:  ⅖+⅖=⅘

If the denominator is unlike then take the LCM and then divide the both numbers denominator with the LCM and the answer would multiplied by the numerator.

For eg:⅜+⅘=

Lcm of 8 and 5 is 40 so divide 8 by 40 =5

                                                     5 by 40 =8

So , 3×5=15

       4×8=32

15+32=47

47 upon 40

47 upon 40 is an unlike fraction
